A heartbreaking end for KLCC United as the team bowed out of the LBK 2025 semi-final after a narrow 2-1 defeat to EXPRO FC.

United started strong, dominating much of the first half with high pressing and sharp passing. The players displayed true winning mentality, creating several shots on target that kept the opponent’s keeper busy.

The second half began with a new tactical setup, but a shock came early when EXPRO struck first. The goal seemed to lift their spirit, and they began to control the pace of the game.

A quick counterattack moments later caused a dangerous collision between Khairi (KLCCUH) and an EXPRO striker both going for a 50-50 ball in the air. The situation turned tense as Khairi was left unconscious. Medical staff rushed in, and he was stretchered out for further treatment. Thankfully, he was later reported stable. Following the incident, EXPRO were awarded a penalty, which they converted to make it 2-0.

Despite the setback, United refused to give up. A brilliant strike from Syamirul (MOKL) brought the team back to life, reducing the deficit to 2-1 and reigniting belief on the pitch.

In stoppage time, a golden chance arrived United was awarded a penalty after Hazri (GDCP) was brought down by the goalkeeper. Syamirul stepped up again, but this time the keeper guessed right and made the save that sealed the game.

The final whistle blew leaving KLCC United frustrated, heartbroken, yet proud. The journey ends here, but the spirit remains unbroken. From Central Football Cup finalists to Liga Bolasepak KSRP (LBK) semi-finalists, this year has been a story of resilience, unity, and belief.

KLCC United would like to thank all supporters, fans, and the KLCC family who stood by us throughout the season. The team will now take a long break before returning stronger for the next campaign.
